Share-Net Youth Week & Rutgers

The Youth Week organized by Share-Net Netherlands and its members took place from 26th – 30th of September 2016 at Humanity House, The Hague and De Balie, Amsterdam.

Share-Net envisioned an inspiring week full of lively debates, interactive workshops, captivating presentations and networking opportunities.

The objective was to link comprehensive sexuality education and youth-friendly health services to broader discussions on gender, youth participation and the sustainable development goals.

Together, they shared best practices, learned from one another’s experience and developed new strategies and collaborations through a joint action plan.

Monday afternoon, September 26, the week kicked off with new research and international speakers. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were organized thematically, but the aim was to focus on linkages instead of working in silos. Youth-Friendly Health Services (YFHS), Youth and Research and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) were the starting point for the respective days. On Friday, the weekwas wrapped up by bringing together different perspectives for the way forward.
