In the spring, both organisations expressed their intention to work together more intensively in the future. In vision and mission, both organisations complement each other. Improving the sexual health and rights of young people is desperately needed: unsafe sex is still the fastest growing health risk for young people worldwide. Furthermore, complications in pregnancy are the number one cause of death of girls aged 15 to 19 years old.
For the public, both brands will remain unchanged, a full merger provides opportunities to increase impact and efficiency and reduce costs within one organisation. In the coming months, follow-up steps will be taken to implement a formal merger as of 1st January 2021.
